The “B2B” activities in the broker pools and platform segment are reflected in the Broker Pools division. The Broker Pools division comprises the brokerage of financial products to private end clients through financial intermediaries in the brokerage and liability umbrella sales channels. As a comprehensive financial services concept, the product portfolio comprises investment funds, closed-end funds, certificates, insurance products (in particular life, disability and health insurance) and other products such as mortgages or home purchase savings plans. The broad range comprises more than 12,000 products from over 500 product companies.
Aragon AG has a leading market position with its two subsidiaries, Jung, DMS & Cie. AG (JDC), Grünwald, and BIT – Beteiligungs- & Investitions-Treuhand AG (BIT), Neuwied, which operate in the broker pool market.
JDC is in the German-speaking world one of the strongest provisions broker pools. In Munich (Grünwald), Wiesbaden and Vienna (Austria) as well as in the branch offices in Szombathely (Hungary), Brno (Czech Republic), Bratislava (Slovakia) they service in addition to a large number of individual representatives also leading financial sales operations, such as, for example, Ertrag & Sicherheit Vermögensberatung Ges.m.b.H., Graz, or EFC A G, Frankfurt, as clients of JDC. By way there is the institutional client businesses by reason of the merger of Fundmatrix AG with Jung, DMS & Cie. Pool GmbH.
A special emphasis is placed on the development of the “liability umbrella”. Here Aragon AG offers brokers and advisors the assumption of liability vis-à-vis end clients as an alternative to so called “independent” financial services. The around 3000 tied agents also have access to securities and structured bank products, in particular certificates, through one of the largest bank-independent liability umbrellas in the German-speaking world and they can also offer their clients unrestricted investment advice in connection with financial instruments.
BIT specialises in sales and settlement of closed-end funds. This includes investments in ships, real estate, renewable energies, private equity, etc. BIT’s services are directed at around 1,100 financial brokers and institutional intermediaries such as savings banks, banks and large-scale sales organisations. Since its acquisition by Aragon AG, the company has successfully expanded its market position and ranks among the top three in its industry in the German-speaking world.
