“B2C” activities, i.e. consulting and brokering of financial products directly to end clients are grouped in the Financial Consulting business unit. This includes our investments in CLARUS AG (CLARUS), Wiesbaden, compexx Finanz AG (compexx), Regensburg, inpunkto AG (inpunkto), Mönchengladbach, Finum.Private Finance AG (FiNUM.Private Finance), Berlin and Vienna.

CLARUS was founded as an independent agent by the Gerling Group in 2005. It focuses on offering services to former tied intermediaries. CLARUS helps these to offer forward-looking advice to their customers by drawing on a broad range of products and providers not bound by exclusivity restrictions. Since its inception, CLARUS has convinced more then 400 independent agents to provide independant and comprehensive financial advice with its modern advisory technology.

compexx is a comprehensive financial services sales organisation using a structured sales business model. Based on an analysis of requirements, a professional financial planning process is performed with the client. The currently around 400 financial consultants (including some 150 full-time consultants) at 34 locations in Germany advise around 20,000 clients annually offering a broad range of financial services, focusing on pensions schemes and insurance products.

inpunkto is one of the leading German specialty sales organisations with a focus on brokering and consulting with respect to private medical insurance for end clients (B2C) and comprehensive financial services sales (B2B). The company currently has 16 branches and about 145 specialised consultants in its German network.

FiNUM.Private Finance AG, Berlin and Wien is an independent financial and investment adviser for sophisticated clients. Finum.Private Finance has nearly 15 years of experience in both countries and is presently represented by about 230 experienced and licensed advisers around Germany and Austria. Around 60,000 end clients receive on all economic issues a integrated and productindependent consulting approach covering all asset classes.
